I Can’t Believe it’s Not Coffee Detox Blog Update
So now I am eighth day of my I Can't Believe it's Not Coffee Detox and wow! Can I just say, I feel amazing and loaded with energy. I'm feeling really good here, the detox is working just like I thought it would, gently cleansing my liver. The best part is that I never imagined I would feel like a super hero in just seven days. Now here is what makes me human. My 11 year old son and I went to the movies to see Jumanji (great movie...take your kids). Our old routine was to bring our popcorn buckets and we would both have our own small bucket of popcorn. Obviously, I didn't indulge in the deliciously buttered popcorn that seems to be the best part of any movie. I know you're thinking one kernel, what's the harm ? I'm on a detox remember? You don't put a fox in the chicken coup people...one kernel would turn into 10 and so on. Not one kernel would touch my extremely tempted lips...not today!
Seven more days to go with my detox and the crazy part is that I'm almost sad that it is ending in 7 days. Now I know what you must be thinking. Does this I Can't Believe it's Not Coffee Detox work? YOU BETCHA! Now I was brave enough to show the world the scale while I weighed myself. Why would I do something so personal? Because you will hold me accountable AND there is someone out there that needs to see that this detox works and you don't starve to death.
Clean eating is a must, that means organic as much as humanly possible. Here is an example of my daily food intake while I detox:
Morning: when I first wake up I drink 16oz warm water with the juice of 1/2 lemon. Two pieces of whole wheat toast sprinkled with Ceylon cinnamon and 1 boiled egg plus one 8oz glass of water
A.M. Snack: 1/2 cup of spiced nuts, cup of I Can't Believe it's Not Coffee Detox followed by an 8oz glass of water
Afternoon: clear liquid vegetable soup seasoned with the Anti Inflammation Spice Blend and only 1 glass of water because who want to tinkle all day at work? (yep, I said it)
P.M. Snack: 1 cup of organic strawberries and blueberries and 2 cups of water
Evening: kale salad with radishes, black beans (rinsed and air dried), avocado, boiled egg and one 4oz portion of poached or baked wild caught salmon filet and 1 glass of you guessed it....water.
After Dinner Tea: as I wind down I make a cup of the I Can't Believe it's Not Coffee Detox and catch a glimpse of the news and then pass out sleep five minutes into it and sometimes in reverse order LOL
So there you have it, 8 days of detoxing and I feel great and here is the kicker I now weigh...see below
