Linguine Pasta with Pan-Seared Chicken

Ingredients

1/2 cup thinly sliced basil leaves

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon of the Fried Chicken Spice Blend (by Love That Spice)

2 large chicken breasts about 1 inch thick

1/4 cup shaved parmesan cheese

Box of whole wheat linguine pasta

2 tablespoon of heavy cream

Let's Cook!

Cook linguine according to box instructions, toss with olive oil and set aside.

Place 2 chicken breasts in a bowl and sprinkle about 1/2 tablespoon olive oil to cover. Now add 1 tablespoon of this blend and rub it into the chicken.

In a skillet, over high heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet and add chicken breasts. Pan-sear for a total of 4 minutes and flip over.

Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon directly into the pan juices, add 1/2 teaspoon of blend and the remainder of the olive oil and stir this mixture together in the skillet with the chicken.

Now THIS STEP IS IMPORTANT, BE SURE TO SPOON THE PAN JUICES OVER THE CHICKEN SEVERAL TIMES AS IT CONTINUES TO COOK ANOTHER 4 TO 5 MINUTES.

Finally, turn the flame off and let the chicken sit for 5 minutes and slice thin. Add 2 tablespoon of cream (milk if you don't like cream) to the chicken, then add the linguine and toss to coat, making sure to get all of the pan drippings. Sprinkle with basil and fresh grated parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

Now savor the flavor and enjoy!
