Spice Blends for Optimal Health - The Anti -Inflammation Spice Blend

I had a history of back problems so you'd think I would have thought of it first. My neighbor walks up to me one day and asked me if I had any spice blends that contained spices and herbs that targeted, specifically, inflammation.  For well over 5 months I consumed myself with creating a spice blend that was beneficial to those looking to incorporate known spices and herbs that were abundant in anti-inflammatory properties.

While attempting to create this blend, the one element I could not leave out was taste. Like me, if it doesn't taste good, the likelihood of me using this spice blend on a regular basis, were slim. Studying the spices one by one - turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, rosemary, etc. There are documented studies world wide that detail the anti-inflammatory benefits of just the few spices and herb I mentioned beforehand. After researching, I decided on 16 specific herbs and spices that have powerful anti-inflammatory properties, anti-fungal properties coupled with having a wide range of nutrients and vitamins.

I am proud of this blend because it was the beginning of what I feel will be my life-long journey of creating spice blends that are both nutrient rich, vitamin packed and last but not least, delicious!
