Jazzed Up Thanksgiving Turkey - Love That Spice

Ingredients:

Love That Spice Smoked Turkey Blend

1 Whole turkey (11 to 14 lbs.)

3 ribs of celery

1 large onion quartered

1 orange quartered

3 bay leaves

1/2 cup of chicken stock

Place turkey breast side down, on roasting rack in shallow roasting pan. Sprinkle 1 heaping tablespoon of the smoked turkey spice blend inside of the cavity of the turkey. Stuff the turkey with celery, onion, bay leaves and the orange. Brush turkey with olive oil. Liberally apply the smoked turkey spice blend over the entire surface of the turkey as well as under the skin. Add chicken stock to the pan and cover loosely with aluminum foil.

Roast in preheated 325 degrees F oven for 1 hour, then remove foil. Roast another 2 to 2 1/2 hours long or until the internal temperature of the turkey reaches 165 degrees F (175 degrees F for thigh), basting occasionally with the pan juices. Remove turkey from the oven and let stand 20 to 25 minutes. Reserve the pan juices to make a delicious gravy or simply serve on the side of the turkey.
